Title： Inverse wave force problems
Abstract：The determination of the displacement and the wave force acting on a vibrating structure from measured final, average displacement or boundary observations is throroughly investigated. The problems are ill-posed, linear or nonlinear. Uniqueness of solution is discussed and numerical results are presented. The investigation may be significant to researchers concerned with wave propagation and control of vibrating structures. [Some of this is joint work with S.O. Hussein, B.T. Johansson and M. Yamamoto]
